What do you want to achieve next year?

7/10/2019

Our working lives seem busier than ever and somehow there never appears to be enough time to achieve what we set out to accomplish.  As we move into the final quarter of 2019 we all tend to focus very keenly on what the organisation requires of us by 31 December.  Any other aspirations, personal or professional, are dutifully shelved or wistfully pushed to the back of our minds, as immediate task pressures absorb our remaining energy and focus.
Yet, as counter-intuitive as it may sound, this last quarter is exactly the right time to take stock and reflect on the year that has been. What has gone well?  What less so? What have you learned?  What could you have done differently? What might you need to start getting in place now for a super successful 2020?

How about using this time of year for re-framing?  See it as an opportunity for reflection, re-balancing and making some great decisions about where to put your energy and focus for greatest impact next year.

The words are easy to say, “stop and reflect a while”, but in our busy working reality it feels less of an option.  This is when it is useful to consider the value of a Coach.  A Coach is able to provide a unique space wholly focused on clarifying your thinking, supporting you to unlock where you have got “stuck”, and accelerating your progress towards personal and professional growth.

At Courvello we know that as a leader you have to dedicate your time to the needs of your team, enabling and developing your people. Yet the leader who also affords him/herself the same opportunity through Coaching, is investing in the quality of his/her leadership.

It’s perhaps easier to defer your need for taking time to work out where you are currently and where you want to be. Yet without taking this time, how can you really be providing the same clarity to your team?  How can you really make sure that things could happen differently for you, your team and your organisation in 2020?

See this as a call to action and a sing-out for reflection!  Commit to some “coaching time-out” … before you find yourself wondering how you got to the end of 2020 without realising your goals again.

Find time now to anticipate what success looks like for you next year. Come to coaching to define personal strategies that will ensure you achieve what you really aspire to achieve.

How much more relaxing could that time off at the end of the year be, knowing that you are ready to start achieving success right from day one in 2020!

Get in touch now and discuss how to accelerate your personal and professional growth in the coming year.
